Once again we have had a very busy summer at Infinite Video Productions. Recently, we just completed a project for the St. Charles Visitor's Bureau. We converted their video for the Scarecrow Festival to a multimedia CD and DVD. The Scarecrow Festival is an annual autumn event that takes place in St. Charles, Illinois. Scarecrows are created by individuals, families, businesses, and organizations, and are entered in a friendly competition for cash awards that are divided among five categories. The festival encompasses an entire weekend and is a fun event for people of all ages. To learn more about the Scarecrow Festival and see the video visit www.scarecrowfest.com
Other projects recently completed were a school orientation video for East Aurora High School and an edited version of one of our client's vacation videos . The orientation tape for East Aurora is being shown to all new students and incoming Freshman. For the vacation video, we took 5 hours of video during a cruise to Eastern Europe and condensed it into a hour-long video complete with music, titles, and graphics. The final project was delivered on an interactive DVD
On June 24 Infinite Video Productions officially opened it’s doors at it’s new location with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Over one hundred clients, friends, and business people from the community attended. After the Mayor of Batavia cut the ribbon, everyone was invited inside for a tour of the facilities and refreshments.
The new building features a dedicated duplication room, 3 larger edit suites, a reception area, a kitchenette and new offices. Master tapes are stored in our new basement with fire sprinklers and humidity/temperature control. Another nice feature for our existing clients is that the new location is only 1 block away from our old one, so no one will get lost trying to find us! If you would like to drop by and see our new offices our address is:Infinite Video Productions 1880 Fabyan Parkway Batavia, IL 60510 630-389-0000 Summer has now left us and now we head in to the Fall season. July 2002 Newsletter Where did June go, I feel like I just put up June’s Newsletter yesterday. Any ways we’re still working hard to please our customers with video Duplications, DVD’s, Multi-Media CD-Roms, Conversions, Shooting, and Editing. Check out our list of services for more. One of our most usefully services that everyone seems to love is Multi-Media CD-ROMs that can be use as a training or promotional tool. The CD-ROMs come in full size and business card size. I really like the business card size. They are a great tool that is much more impressive than just a regular paper business card! The best thing about the Multi-Media CD-ROM is that we do everything in-house. Call us at 630-232-6862 if you would like a demo of our Multi-Media CD-ROM.

WOW! My last News letter was in January 2002, so we have a little bit of catching up to do. First off we would like to thank all of the customers that have come in these past couple of months. We appreciate your business. Thank You !
Well 2002 so far has been good to us. We have had many projects keeping us busy including Business Card CD-ROM creation, DVD duplication, taping Training Videos, Focus Groups, First Communions, and Graduations.
One of our bigger projects that we had the pleasure of making was a Training Video for Walgreen’s / Kodak. The tape is the main program for their annual nation-wide training workshops for the Walgreen’s Photo specialist. One section of the video involves a tour of the Kodak’s film processing plant. There you get to see how your film gets developed from start to finish. It’s a very cool video shot and edited entirely on digital.
Well, Summer is almost here so its time to break out the sun block, and give us a call to come out and shoot for you. This months special is on field production. Book a shoot this month and receive a Free Upgrade to our digital camera package!
That’s all for this month. See you next month?

Video to DVD a success this Christmas. Now that the Christmas season is over, we can take a moment to relax and look at all we accomplished. Our film & photo transfer section can be summed up in one word: DVD. We ran around 40,000 feet of film this year, most of which was put onto DVD. Infinite Video finishes its 5th focus group with Central Dupage Hospital September web special held over for another month! Learn how to avoid accidentally recording over your video footage
This past year Infinite Video Productions has been working with Central Dupage Hospital to videotape their research focus groups. Each group session covers a different topic and consist of previous patients. Central Dupage wanted the setup to be as inconspicuous as possible to avoid intimidating the participants. We decided to setup an unmanned camera with a wide-angle lens and several mics in the room. The audio and video were then sent to a TV in an adjoining room where hospital staff could monitor the session and take notes. Later the tapes are edited and shown to those hospital employees directly involved with the subject matter. This past September Infinite Video Productions finished shooting its 5th focus group with Central Dupage Hospital this year.
This month Infinite Video is featuring two production specials! Due to a mailing glitch many of our customers didn’t find out about our September promotion until the end of the month. So in addition to this month’s special on shooting we are extending our September special on multimedia production through October! Both promotions can be found on our monthly specials page.
Follow this tip to avoid the common mistake of accidentally recording over your footage with something else. You can easily prevent this by getting into the habit of always breaking the tab on the back of your tape when you are done recording. Every video tape has some type of tab on the back of the tape that will prohibit the record function if it is broken. On VHS tapes it is a thin, little plastic square tab covering a hole next to where you would put the spine label. You can break it off using a butter knife, screw driver, ect. On the 8mm and miniDV tapes the tabs are a small colored plastic square that you can slide open or closed. Slide the tab to "save" to prevent recording on it. If you want to record on your tape again, slide the tab to "erase" for 8mm or miniDV; place a piece of scotch tape over the hole where the tab was for VHS.
New! Streaming video of Infinite Video Productions’ demo is available online. September marks the beginning of our monthly web specials. Infinite Video introduces lower cost DVD.
September marks several firsts for Infinite Video Productions. One of these is the addition of our demo available as a streaming video on our website. The demo can be viewed in Real Video, Windows Media and Quicktime formats. Currently we have dial-up versions available and will soon have broadband versions too. The streaming video page is also a great opportunity for those interested in our digitizing services to compare the different streaming formats side-by-side and see which one works best for them.
Another new program we are starting this month is our monthly web specials. Each month we will feature a promotional offer on one of our services. This month we are featuring free CD copies when you use our mulitmedia services. Be sure to check in monthly to see what new discounts we are offering.
This past year we’ve received many phone calls from customers wanting to transfer their existing video onto DVD but did not need the extra time and expense of a fully authored and interactive disk. So in an effort to serve this new market of customers Infinite Video is introducing a new low-cost DVD production option. This option will provide a no-frills cost effective way to copy video onto a DVD disk. Now our customers can choose which level of DVD production their project needs.
And just a reminder, Infinite Video Productions can take your existing video and re-purpose it into an interactive CD-Rom too!
Another video coming to our website is Dr. Howard Stidwell’s Can-X program. Dr. Stidwell, Ph.D., has directed outpatient exercise therapy programs for cancer patients since 1992. His newly developed exercise program is targeted for patients recovering from breast cancer. Patients receive a set of redesigned exercise bands, an exercise guide book and a training video created by Infinite Video Productions. Dr. Stidwell is currently being featured on several TV stations in Chicago.
