Mixing Video with PowerPoint

Recently we have been doing a lot of work helping clients add video to their PowerPoint presentations.  The majority of this work deals with focus groups.

We can receive hours of footage from focus groups that needs to be edited to short sixty second clips.  Many times the footage has been shot by the client with a small camcorder using only the camera mic.  The result is poor audio with lots of room noise.  (See our November 2006 newsletter for tips on avoiding this problem, or have Infinite Video shoot your video!)  Often the audio has to be taken into our audio workstations to be boosted and cleaned up.  Once the clips are edited they are converted to Windows Media Video at full resolution.  A CD with the clips is then delivered to the client to be inserted into their presentations.

The reactions from our clients has been tremendous.  They tell us that the added aspect of being able to show the focus groups reactions and see their body language really adds to the effectiveness of their presentations.  Like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.
