Infinite Video Creates HD Commercial for the NASDAQ MarketSite Tower in Times Square!

In December Private Bank hired Infinite Video Productions to create a 30 second commercial that would be played on the NASDAQ MarketSite Tower in Times Square, New York.  The project had several technical challenges.  The most obvious problem was the tower itself.  Video plays over the entire surface of the tower, but since the tower is basically a tall tube with windows cut out it created a bit of a challenge.  The commercial had to be distorted during editing so that it would look correct playing back on the tower.  Creatively, we had to arrange all the graphic elements to work around all the windows.

Originally, Private Bank requested we send a BetaSP tape of the spot to NASDAQ.  After investigating it further, we found out that the video tape would be upconverted to an MPEG file at HD resolution causing a loss in image quality.  We recommended creating the commercial in HD and then supplying NASDAQ with an uncompressed Quicktime file which they could convert without any quality loss.  Private Bank agreed, and we were able to deliver a superior product for them. 

The HD commercial played on the NASDAQ MarketSite Tower just prior to the opening bell.
